Who We Are

Limiri Travels Co-Founder George Kinyua Limiri, was born and raised in Meru, Kenya. He went to the United States for school. During this time, he met and married his wife Mekenze (who was born and raised in Utah). They have three children together and now reside in rural Meru, Kenya.

Why did George and Mekenze decide to start a Kenya travel company, you ask..?

The Limiri family had the chance to visit Kenya for two months during the summer of 2016 where George was able to reunite with his family after more than a decade of living abroad, introduce his wife and children to his many relatives for the first time, as well as explore many parts of Kenya with his family. Needless to say, they fell in love with the country, the people, and the culture! They decided to combine their passion for travel and their love of Africa and turn it into an experience that they can share with others... and so Limiri Travels was born!
